What is Custom Fabrication?
You may be wondering – what is custom fabrication? Custom fabrication is the process of cutting, bending, and assembling material into the form of the desired final product. Fabrication brings moving pieces together and creates a functional final product that is durable and resistant to damage. There are several forms of fabrication, such as welding and forming. You can also fabricate materials like metal, steel, iron, aluminum and more.
We run a fleet of six commercial passenger vessels where safety and absolute reliability is of ultimate importance. I’d say around ten years ago one of our ferries needed a quick weld repair. A Coast Guard Officer who inspected the vessel recommended Pete as a reliable welder that does excellent work. Sure enough, that is what we got with Pete. Ever since that first Job, when we needed Pete, he was there. Whether a simple crack in a hand rail or cropping and renewing a thirty foot section of hull plating, Forged Custom Metal does excellent work at a fair price.
