The story behind Forged Customs
Meet Peter Pucella
From industry experience in Hawaii, the coastline of California, and now in his hometown of Wilmington, NC, it’s no question that Peter has seen it all. Peter began his exposure to the marine fabrication industry through his studies at Cape Fear Community College. It was here where Peter learned the dynamics of welding, boat building, and marine technology. Peter received his degree in Marine Technology, Welding Technology, and Boat Building. His studies provided a comprehensive baseline of knowledge to boat building, and also when his true passion ignited. It wasn’t long until Peter set off to Hawaii, and was the lead welder for eight years. Still not ready to return to his hometown, Peter transitioned his work to the coast of California, where he worked on all types of boats. Collecting his comprehensive experience in boat manufacturing and repairs, Peter was ready to head back home and open up a welding shop of his own.
From an initial mobile operation, to a full-service thriving business that offers both onsite operations and offsite large scale fabrication, Peter has made his vision a reality. With a 3,000 square foot warehouse, Peter is proud to provide custom aluminum workboats and marine accessories to clients throughout the east coast. Forged Customs is now a thriving, multi-service operation that helps government and state officials, municipalities, boatyards, and marinas with the services they need to be successful.
